Lin Manuel Miranda’s Dog: A Mutt Named “Tobillio”

Lin Manuel Miranda and his dog, Tobillio: “Hamilton” creator Lin Manuel has an aging mutt named, “Tobillo” who, besides being his creative muse, has also become a bit of a star on Twitter recently. (more on that later)

Lin Manuel’s dog: The story behind his name

In case you haven’t heard, the Puerto Rican Miranda’s dog is called Tobillo. There’s actually a very interesting story behind the name. Lin Manuel Miranda is of Puerto Rican decent, and “Tobillo” is the Spanish word for “ankle.” If you’re wondering why he would call his doggy such an odd name, it’s really very funny.

When he first brought the puppy home, one of the first things it did was nibble on Miranda’s future-wife’s ankle! He obviously thought that the whole thing was so hilarious that he went ahead and named the dog after the incident. Crazy, right?

Tobillo: Star of Twitter

Lin Manuel takes Tobillio to work; tweets photograph of him in front of green screen

One of the trends that we just love at the moment is taking your dog to work. After all, what could possibly be better than having your pup with you when you’ve got your nose to the grindstone? Just seeing their cute little face should be enough to brighten your day at the best of times.

One person who knows just how much joy an office dog can bring is none other than the rather wonderful Lin-Manuel Miranda. The massively talented actor, writing, and (yes!) rapper recently took his little doggy to work with him. In fact, the little pup looked seriously happy while he was hanging out in Lin’s suave-looking office.

As you probably already know from his shenanigans, Miranda likes to have fun now and then. So, he recently posted a picture on Twitter of the cute little Tobillo in front of a green screen. Why, you ask? Well, he wanted to set the online world a sneaky little challenge.

“I brought my dog Tobi to work and took her picture in front of the green screen for y’all,” Miranda tweeted. Yep, he was basically asking people to Photoshop his pup.

The results were utterly hilarious. It seems that many people had nothing better to do with their day than spend time editing pictures of the pup. Some of the best (edited!) photos included ones that mimicked famous posters, ones that were just weird, and ones that put the dog’s face on people’s heads! Here are some of our favorites:

Tobillo: The Phantom of the Opera!

Now, we’re not sure if this is intentional or not, but ‘perra’ means female dog in Spanish. Either the person spelled the word wrong (oops!) or they were trying to make a funny pun in the title. We’re hoping it’s the latter! This is one of the best Photoshopped pictures we’ve seen in a long time. And, hey, why shouldn’t Tobillo take a starring role, eh?

This “Tobillo” Moana-inspired tweet:

Moana was one of the biggest kids’ movies of the year in 2016. If you didn’t quite catch it, you’re sure to find this particular picture seriously confusing. Still, you have to admire the Photoshop skills that its creator has.

Of course, Miranda loved the pictures. This was exactly what he’d been asking for. What’s more, he went ahead and retweeted some of his favorites. They are so worth checking out if you have time! Also, be sure to follow Lin Manuel Miranda on Twitter to catch new photos of his dog!

Here’s some more photos of Miranda’s dog:

Olivia Munn & Adopted Puppy In Sultry, Narcissistic Photos

Olivia Munn Adopts Puppy – Actress Olivia Munn and her boyfriend, Aaron Rogers, recently adopted a puppy, named Chance, together. (Named “Chance” for the second chance he got after being in a Puppy Mill)

Looks like a Springer Spaniel to me. Hmmm… must candid photos from the dog park, right?

I wonder why she’s looking over her shoulder in this photo? It’s like she’s saying, “who let this random puppy into my Maxim photo shoot? Hey, is there a handle on this thing?”

Anyway, I’m sure Olivia is a great (and obviously beautiful) woman, so who am I to criticize? Plus, it’s always nice to see that the couple chose to adopt instead of opting for a trendy purebred.

Olivia recently appeared on the Today Show with her puppy, Chance, who showed off some tricks, as you can see below:

Duck Dynasty Gets a New Dog (Doesn’t Look Like a Retriever!)

“Jep & Lily Lulu playing with our new pup Gizmo,” Jessica Robertson Tweeted

Dog Dynasty? With all of the controversy swirling around Duck Dynasty, (Phil Robertson’s anti-gay remarks) it’s nice to get a happy distraction. Jep Robertson, and his wife Jessica introduced a new member of the family this month; a puppy named, “Gizmo.” (Maybe named after that fuzzy Gremlin?)

From this photo, it looks like Gizmo is a Shih Tzu, a dog not exactly bred to be a retriever, so I don’t think this little guy is going to be going hunting with the guys.

In any event, we’ll look forward to more seasons of Duck Dynasty, so that we can watch Gizmo grow up!

Besides retrieving ducks, hunting dogs are notorious for bringing back things that suck from the fields; specifically deer ticks.

January Walking Max

While most people have been wondering who the father of January Jones’ baby is, we have been wondering what her dog’s name is. (She’s been frequenting the dog park with him, but his name has been a mystery)

Alas, after digging around for some time, we discovered that January Jones’ dog is named “Max.” (what breed is that? Looks almost like a young Portuguese Water Dog)

Well, I guess you can’t accuse the stunning blonde of being too creative with her dog’s name; Max is currently listed as the most common name for dogs, (followed by: Jake, Buddy, Bailey, and Sam in case you care)

In any event, we love January Jones in Madmen, and hope all goes well with her pregnancy and upcoming X-Men movie.

Heidi Montag Sulks With Dogs

Heidi Montag recently dragged her two Maltipoo dogs Dolly (white, named for Dolly Parton) and Ninja (black & white, named for ninjas everywhere) into her well-publicized post-breakup photo shoot.

Like her breasts, the dogs have tripled in size since the couple brought them home just last fall. This photo was just one in a series of professional “boo-hoo, poor me” photos that the pouting Heidi had taken in Malibu just after breaking up with husband Pratt.

If their divorce goest through, Heidi will reportedly keep the two dogs, as Spencer has expressed little interest in both dogs and children, noting that he is “just too busy” to own a dog, adding recently in an interview that, “There’s no way my love for fame and her love for puppies will ever work out successfully.”

Friends of the attention-starved couple wonder if their breakup is real, or just another publicity stunt. I think the dogs, for one, smell a rat.
